The Crimson Fists, while mighty indeed are still a chapter well below full strength. So they're going to need support. So we call upon the Imperial Guard. Here's some of the new stuff that I've got my eye on. The Command Squad looks awesome and according to GW, the sprue comes chock full of option including respirator masks (now that I spent $30 on FW heads). But it will be nice to see them in plastic.
I'll start with a single platoon with a command section and 2 infantry squads.
What about your lizardmen? :)
ReplyDeleteI can't wait. I've already started saving money and I'm clearing my painting deck for the Imperial Guard. I've always wanted to collect them but Tau and Marines got in the way.
Since I was so good about NOT buying CSM or Demons or Eldar or Orks when they come out, I figure I can reward myself with Imperial guard in a few months.
I'm going with a list that fits in as many tanks as possible! And Valkyries. I love me an armored cav regiment!
Lizardmen are still on the front burner. But I'll probably be playing them before I ever get to painting them. The IG I think, will just be another phase of my Crimson Fists. I'm lookin' out for the Valkyries as well.
ReplyDeleteFOR THE EMPEROR!!!!
I can see that there is going to be some mass spending on all the new Guard stuff for me - as if I didn't have enough to finish already.
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to see some of your pics up of your Crimson Fists done using the new technique you found. I'm going to do a little Crimson Fist force to ally with my Cadian regiment when it's complete.
Keep up the good work.

I like your work, I read over another Crimson Fist blog the other day and they really do have that more realistic feel to them than most chapters; their colour scheme just seems more realistic. With regards to this post, I have written one almost EXACTLY the same on my blog - cadian8th.blogspot.com - Im a cadian collector. Come check my blog and add your thoughts Please!
