What a Movie...

I got a chance to see Battle: Los Angeles and I have to say that this is THE best alien invasion movie of all time. It wasn't too 'Hollywood' (as in Independence Day), but more like Blackhawk Down, but against space aliens. The movie was a dark, grim look into war against an unknown enemy.

The characters and heroes of this movie were just your basic G.I.s, fighting for their homes and doing their duty for their country. Great film, with good special effects and kept you in the dark, just enough to make it enjoyable. I highly recommend it.

Sci Fi Couch Potato

I've noticed that there has been a lack of quality science fiction on television (or in the movies) of late. I think the last sci fi film that I saw was the most recent Predators. I'm a true sci fi fan in the sense, that I like almost everything that is sci fi related. So anyway, I've been jones-in' for some good sci fi, so I decided to start re-watching the Stargate Atlantis series. Now there was entertainment. I'm just sorry it only lasted five seasons. But I need to get my fix somehow, so I think I'll pull a late-nighter and watch a few episodes.

Stargate Universe

I've been tuning into the new Stargate Universe show on Syfy. It's definitely different than it's predecessors. Much darker and more serious than the others. While it's taking some getting used to, I do like what I've seen so far. Although, they can use a little more action. Anybody else see the show yet? I did find tonight's episode, 'Light' pretty intense. Well written.

So I was watching the 1999 Sci Fi thriller (or should I say Syfy) Deep Blue Sea last night and Saffron Burrows found one sexy way to fight off a genetically enhanced mutant shark. I wish I could find a better still shot, but this was the best I could do. I guess you'll have to just check out the movie for yourself. There's something about a hot, wet, sun-tanned babe in her underwear that makes me want to go shark fishin'. Enjoy.
