Happy New Year - 2010!

As you can see this is my first post in nearly a month and oddly enough, will be my last post of the year (and decade - yikes). Needless to say the hustle and bustle of Christmas took it's toll and kept me away from blogging, gaming, painting, etc. Well Christmas is done and we survived another one. Now it's time to get ready to settle in a face the long winter ahead. It's also time for a resolution or two...so here I go:

1. Blog more
2. Play more
3. Paint more
4. Model more

Done. But seriously, Best Wishes to everyone for a safe, prosperous and Happy New Year. May all of your wishes come true!

Blade Friday - Part 1

The smokin' hot Jill Wagner, played vampire hunter Krista Starr on Blade: The Series, did a short stint on SG: Atlantis and had a starring in the cheesy, yet entertaining SyFy Original movie, Splinter. She's also the Lincoln Mercury girl. What a hottie!!!

20-second Hobby Update

My Crimson Fists came in the mail and they look great. I even took a day or so to build another Tactical Squad for that army. I also finished another Grey Hunters Pack for my Space Wolves army. I am eagerly awaiting the arrival of my copy of the Warhammer Fantasy Roleplaying game. I'm thinking of bribing my wife, sister and brother-in-law into giving the game a try. My sister is always begging us to come over for game night. I just might use this as leverage. I primed up a unit of High Elf Archers for my fantasy army and am nearly finished assembling a unit of Silver Helms. Finally, I also started a Galadhrim LoTR force as well, so those models are on the table. Anyway, that's it for now. Man, too much work and not enough hours in a day.

...One more model

Okay, so my my copy of the Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay Game is on the way and I can't wait to get it. I know that I said that I had to suspend my game spending, but I started thinking that I should start looking through my Fantasy minis to see what I've got. I know the game comes with a bunch of 'standees', but I know right now, I would much rather have a hand-painted miniature on the table. Call it RPG nostalgia, but back in my DnD days, I had a bunch of old Grenadier minis that we used to play with. Anyway, I just had to get one more model that I had my eye on for a long time. I thought that Empire Captain from direct-only was too cool, so I picked up the phone and placed the order. What a bad-ass looking model!
