Brother Captain

I finished my Captain today. I noticed that this model doesn't have the braids draped across his armor like other commanders, but....

Sorry about the lousy lighting. I'll post nicer ones when I can get some shots outside. But on the up side, things are coming along, I've got four more marines from Squad Antheo half done. I should get half done by Friday. Then that would leave me with 10 more marines and a Predator to paint.

  1. Nicely Done, this is one of my favorite loyalist models and one of my favorite models by GW and it is great to see it painted with such care and attention to detail!

  2. Very nice! Love the red work on that power fist! This guy looks *just* lo-key enough that he can double as a sternguard in a pinch!

  3. Nice job on the marine! I missed out getting this one when he was offered online but its really a cool sculpt. You've given it a real good paint job. =)

  4. Nice work here -- definitely a good pose, you're lucky to have one of those -- and you've really done him up nice, too. Great job and keep going! Your progress is impressive and inspiring!

  7. I just got this guy included in an order from GW for free (Canada orders over $100). I plan to use him and one of the older veterans as sergeants for my Raptors Legion. One of them will get their Power Fist converted to a Lightning Claw (even though they can't take one, I'll count it as a power weapon).

Both have extensive bird heraldry on them, (the other is here: http://www.puolenkuunpelit.com/kauppa/images/gw_w40_sm_veteras.jpg - the guy with the banner) which do you think should get the claws?
